Oklahoma record label recreates an exciting rendition to the 2012 BET Cypher ….
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (May 20, 2013) — Power Moves, an established artist development company, unleashes a bevy of talent with the release of a new Hip-Hop cypher featuring its three featured artists Young Star, Amber Glass and Scrilla – all born and bred in Oklahoma City. Power Moves CEO and rap veteran Nitro joins the cypher with his own 16 bars adding a seasoned touch to the well-received display of lyricism. The cypher kicks off a season of new music and authentic visual from the Power Moves roster. “In an ode to last year’s BET cypher we did the Oklahoma City cypher in an effort to capture the spirit of true hip-hop in this generation. We’re like the Oklahoma City Thunder in that our team is young and can compete with the Lakers and Heat – the best of them,” explains Nitro. The business-minded artist brings over 12 years of industry experience to the helm of Power Moves – a much needed artist development company in an era where record labels no longer spend time or money in that department. While managing his company, the single father (to 3-year-old Kira) stays true to his love for music and plans to release two new singles titled “Splash” feat. Ray J and “Turnt Up” feat. Young Star Young Star proves his talent beyond his hard-hitting lyrics and smooth style, with a pen game diversified enough to ink rap, pop & R&B. With a crazy work ethic of writing up to 4-5 songs a day, Young Star is quickly scaling the industry ladder. Teen beauty Amber Glass, dubbed “the spoiled white girl,” knows how to hold her own in the booth. With catchy lyrics and a hard core sexy approach, this “project X party chick” has plans to release her first Debut project summer 2013. Watch out for Scrilla says Nitro.
In addition to the music Power Moves is working on a new TV show offering a behind the scenes look at the company’s journey through music, television and film.
